After Market Solutions (AMS) Manager
P&L Responsibility for AMS activities (e.g., retrofit, refurbish, used press sales) for AIDA and other OEM equipment. Responsible for all aspects of AMS products / services: obtain clear definition of Customer's request, create and present quote to customer, order processing, project management, and customer interaction from start to finish. Responsible for developing lead generation (i.e., a "hit-list" of critical end-users) and actively pursuing strategic opportunities. Manage direct reports (technical and project management personnel) on the AMS team.
EDUCATION
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business or an Associates degree with with equivalent work experience in Service or with capital equipment.
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
Five or more years of experience working with capital equipment (metal stamping and material handling equipment preferred and aftermarket upgrade / retrofit experience preferred.
Ability to travel 20-25% of the time - predominantly to customer sites between MI and AL.
Excellent communication skills for Customer interaction. Knowledge and experience in developing a sales funnel, managing a portfolio of developing sales opportunities, and closing new orders. Experience preparing sales quotations, order entry and invoicing, project commissioning.
Basic understanding of blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs). Experience with parts, external services like rigging, and procurement.
Experience working with Japanese businesses is a plus.
Sourcing and managing third-party partners / suppliers and internal purchase requests.
General knowledge of integrated business information systems (SAP preferred).
