Responsible for the inspection of fabricated and machined parts from internal and external sources. Thorough and accurate documentation is required to show evidence of product conformance. Responsibility to ensure all production materials supplied to AIDA-America meet the requirements as defined by the purchase order and are in conformance with generally accepted workmanship standards. Regularly involved in cross-functional team activities focused on preventing quality issues, including participation in conducting internal audits.
High School diploma / GED, or equivalent experience.
Total of two to five years' experience.
General knowledge of manual inspection techniques, including the use of calipers and micrometers. CMM / Portable CMM experience a plus.
Working knowledge of machining, casting, and fabrication technology; heat treatment and assembly processes.
General knowledge of the following: ISO-9001, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and problem solving tools.
Provides assistance to the Sales Department and to the company at large. The primary Receptionist duties are: answering main phone number for the company and directing calls, greeting lobby visitors, creation and management of visitor badges, and assorted other administrative support as required by the Manager of Sales Administration.
The Receptionist will also provide administrative support to the Sales Administrators to prepare customer proposals, field daily inquiries from Sales and to assist in development and maintenance of various Sales reference tools, reports and databases.
Associate's degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
Two to three years of progressive experience in a support or administrative capability, preferably in a capital equipment environment. Order administration, inside sales, or customer service experience are all strong plusses.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work additional hours as required by workload.
Performs the final welding of large weldments. This includes assisting with assembling or fitting of the weldments.
Associate's degree from a trade school, community college or equivalent experience.
Five plus years' experience in the welding, fitting, or fabricating field.
Determines required equipment and welding method to plan, layout, and weld, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage and welding techniques.
Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend to the floor and lift up to 60 pounds without difficulty. Operate large cranes and forklifts. Physical exposure from moving equipment and machine parts, periodically laying prone under machinery or on knees for completion of welding and mechanical tasks.
Working in confined spaces. Visual acuity for reading blueprints, especially weld symbols, and precision measuring instruments.
Subject to frequent overtime requirements, changes in job duties and assignments (often without much notice).
Ability to consider alternatives and make decisions.
PROJECT MANAGER - AMS (AFTER MARKET SERVICES)
Lead and manage the execution of assigned equipment upgrades and retrofits. Coordinate the efforts of all departments and outside suppliers involved in fulfilling the order to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Assist with inside sales activities. Assist in achieving department profit goals.
Bachelor Degree (or higher) in Project Management, Business, or Engineering (or related field). Project Management Certification is a plus.
Four to five years of project management, electrical engineering, or sales experience in the metal stamping or capital equipment industry.
In-depth knowledge of industry applications and requirements involving capital equipment. Experience regarding presses, feed lines, tooling, die change equipment, electrical controls, and conveying equipment is a plus.
General knowledge of capital equipment rigging and installation requirements.
Ability to travel 20% of the time.
General knowledge of planning, budget control, and pricing required for complete capital equipment upgrades, retrofits, and equipment relocations.
Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings.
Good understanding and knowledge of general metalforming press design.
APPLICATION ENGINEER/SENIOR PRODUCT ENGINEER
Assures that assigned products meet market needs and strategic business plans. You will be responsible for identifying potential for creating new product opportunities and existing product upgrades and modifications to assure continued market leadership. This includes companies to explore future technology and market opportunities. Responsible for supporting the Sales effort thru product training, competitive analysis, providing technical seminars and articles, as well as support on sales calls and at technical meetings.
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience. An MBA preferred but not required.
Minimum ten years' experience with stamping press products and customers
In depth knowledge of metalforming press design, features and benefits
In depth knowledge of Product Management
General knowledge of market research including market analysis and competitive evaluation to lead the product development team
In depth knowledge of Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics and installation of press systems
General knowledge of costing structures, pricing strategies, product planning market analysis and competitive evaluation
In depth knowledge of Windows-based word processing, data base, project spreadsheet and presentation applications
Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel 35%
CUSTOMER SERVICE ENGINEER
Candidate is responsible to assist in installation and repair of equipment. Traveling required. Instruct customers on proper maintenance and repairs, perform inspections and prepare documentation, follow manufacturers' specification, and communicate and provide feedback to management to improve customer and associate satisfaction.
Associate Degree in a technical field or vocational degree with equivalent work experience.
One to six years' experience in metal forming equipment installation and repair, mechanical drive maintenance and repair, electrical wiring and controls diagnosis and repair. General knowledge of material feeding and production line systems, rigging and millwright skills.
