Paint Prep and Shot Blast
Responsible for the surface preparation and hand painting of purchased and manufactured parts. Assist with machine part deburring, shot blasting, and with material handling to include manipulating large parts and loading and unloading of trucks.
High school diploma required. Advance education from a vocational or trade school is preferred.
Three plus years of capital equipment experience.
Operation of cranes, 50 US ton and bigger cranes preferred.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Ability to read large assembly prints.
Experience with forklift operation preferred.
Experience with shipping and receiving procedures.
Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend to the floor and lift up to 60 pounds without difficulty. Operate large machines and physical exposure from moving equipment and machine parts, periodically lying prone under machinery or on knees. Some ladder climbing. Periodically required to work at heights of 15 to 20 feet. Skin subject to oil and paint chemicals exposure. Must be able to wear a respirator. Visual acuity for paint quality/inspection.
Subject to frequent overtime requirements, changes in job duties and assignments, and constant or frequent deadline pressures. Ability to consider alternatives and make decisions. Capability of mastering shop floor computer terminals and data recording.
Ability to work effectively as part of a work team. Good interpersonal and oral communication skills. Good organizational skills.
