Flow Control Forming

The benefits of Flow Control Forming (FCF) include the ability to produce high precision components with high added value, at lower costs. Both progressive forming using coil stock and transfer forming using blanks are possible with FCF.

Flow Control Forming (FCF) expands the range of press processing by enabling a single press to produce complex parts with non-uniform thickness in sheet metal materials. FCF combines conventional press working with cold forging in a single press, enabling the press to change the sectional shape of a component by positively forcing plastic flow of the material. The end result is near "net shape" components previously impossible with conventional press working.
